For the eight year in a row, Lithuanian companies continue their mission at the World’s Music Market – MIDEM (28-31 January, 2012). The Lithuanian national stand, organized by the Music Export Lithuania and Enterprise Lithuania, will be located in Riviera Hall, No. R07.02, and will represent the following companies:
Enterprise Lithuania with more than 10 years experience is the main governmental institution responsible for the promotion of exports of Lithuanian goods and services.
Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society is the largest and oldest state owned concert organization in Lithuania. Combining its functions as both a classical concert venue and an association of resident music groups, the LNPS is mainly devoted to organizing and coordinating diverse classical music events and tours throughout Lithuania and abroad.
BOD Group / BRD is the largest CD, DVD and Blu-ray industrial manufacturing, distribution and ales company group in the Baltic countries, which owns two modern CD/DVD plants: the plant BRD is located in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, another plant BALTIC DISC is in Tallinn, Estonia.
Semplice is a record company specializing in the early of music of Lithuania, Lithuanian classical composers and jazz musicians.
State Song and Dance Ensemble Lietuva is a joint artistic team which includes dancers, orchestra of national instruments, and choirs. On the professional stage the ensemble connects several hundred years old folkloric genres: vocal and instrumental music, choreography and acting.
KeyMono is electronica / nujazz group (formerly known as Brassbastardz), whose merits include the winner of the People’s Music Awards (London) in the dance / electronica category, and the Most Stylish Video in Lithuania.
Music Export Lithuania will present diverse information materials, among them series of promotional CDs and DVDs of Lithuanian music, including classical/contemporary, pop/rock, electronica, jazz, authentic and modern folk music.
