B2gether - the New Large Scale Festival [Pop / Rock / Urban]

"Festival ‘B2gether’ of a scale previously unseen in Lithuania will take place in a unique location at the eastern border of the European Union on August 25th; its aim is to show that music does not know any borders," says the initiator of the festival Giedrius Klimkevičius." It will be an event not only for the Lithuanian people, but also for all Europe."

The idea of the event is actively supported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Commission, diplomats of neighbouring and EU countries.

The festival 'B2gether' will take place at the Norviliškės castle in the Dieveniškės historical regional park, several metres away from the Belorussian border.

Negotiations for the participation of such groups as the rock legend Roger Waters, youth music stars Keane, Stereophonics, Faithless, Groove Armada, Muse, Air and The Killers are under way. Groups from Lithuania, Russia, Belorussia and Moldova have also been invited to the festival.

In the words of Giedrius Klimkevičius, one of the aims of the event is to give more life to the Lithuanian province, the Šalčininkai region in particular, by creating for Norviliškės an image similar to Roskilde in Denmark or Woodstock in the United States.

According to the organisers, music will be played on three stages. "Two of them will be main, and the third one will be given to the representatives of alternative music", says Klimkevičius.
