The Vilnius String Quartet will present the first performance of the String Quartet No. 3 Wind of Sand Hills by Vytautas Laurušas on July 14, the first day of the traditional Thomas Mann Festival. This event, organized by the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre for the 11th time, takes place in the unique resort spot Nida located at the Curonian Spit. The festival embraces various art forms - music, literature, public discussions, films, visual art - and has a very special friendly "community" atmosphere.
