Lithuanian Presence at MIDEM 2008


For the fourth year in a row, Lithuanian companies continue their mission at the World’s Music Market – MIDEM (27-31 January, 2008). The Lithuanian national stand will be located in Riviera Hall, No. R33.02, and will represent the Lithuanian labels, licensors, manufacturers and concert agencies: Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society, Vilnius – European Capital of Culture 2009, Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, BOD Group, Bomba, Semplice, Muzikinė Partija, Music Export Lithuania. Everyone is invited to visit Lithuanian stand and get in contact with our companies.

 

The Music Export Lithuania will present diverse information materials, among them the series of promotional CDs and DVDs of Lithuanian music, including classical/contemporary, pop/rock, electronica, jazz, authentic folk music and its modern adaptations.

 

On the first day of MIDEM, a press conference is being organized at 4 p.m. at the Auditorium Verriere Californie, with participation of the Lithuanian Minister of Culture Mr. Jonas Jučas, the Ambassador of the program “Vilnius – European Capital of Culture 2009” Ms. Mūza Rubackytė, and the Director of the public enterprise “Vilnius – European Capital of Culture 2009” Ms. Elona Bajorinienė, who will present the planned events in this and following years for the international media. The press conference will be followed by the reception at 5 p.m. at the Lithuanian stand, hosted by the Minister of Culture Jonas Jučas.
