Programme note

This work was inspired by the book of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince. In my composition, I wanted to express the bright mood of Exupéry’s work, and to create the musical pictures of the most important characters in the book. Since this piece is primarily oriented towards the children’s audience, I used quite simple musical language and characteristic rhythms and melodies. The piece consists of five short movements.
