Tomas Dobrovolskis


Tomas Dobrovolskis was a percussionist, multiinstrumentalist and composer. He built several original percussion instruments, which fit into the family of contemporary percussion. One of these instruments – The Brass Globe. Tomas gave solo concerts and played as a guest performer with other bands and musicians in various projects of academic, experimental, improvisational, jazz and world music. He has performed in many countries, collaborated with Sainkho Namtchylak, Vladimir Chekasin, Vytautas Labutis, Satoko Aoki, Plazi Halaoui, Neda Malūnavičiūtė, Liudas Mockūnas, Saulius Petreikis and many other musicians. He died tragically in the beginning of 2015.
