Augustė Vedrickaitė sang in several rock bands before she gained huge popularity as one of the most talented participants of Dangus reality show (a Lithuanian version of Pop Idol format). Uncompromising, outspoken and creative, this young girl gained support from many on the Lithuanian scene biggest players, has performed a main role in the successful musical Meilė ir bananai, played festival gigs in Austria and released a debut album Apnuoginta which features collaborations with Swedish songwriters – all in 12 months. She's an ambitious and natural entertainer who feels much better on stage than giving silly interviews about personal life and we surely aren't going to blame her for that. Augustė's style is difficult to describe – she feels comfortable singing both torch songs and rock anthems.
