Backpackers

It’d be hard to find a more appropriate time for a project like Backpackers to emerge in Lithuania. The exciting culture of backpacking – traveling across the globe with just one’s backpack, without much tourist comfort – is finding its way into the hearts of young Lithuanians. What was missing, until recently, was a proper Lithuanian ‘soundtrack’ for exploring the world’s diversity. And what can better serve this purpose than music born from the experience itself – the soulful vibes of live music advocates and fellow travelers Linas Adomaitis and Hokshila Andrade, now united under the Backpackers moniker. As one could expect, their songs address themes that matter all the more when one travels further away from Europe – perpetual war, inequality, and indestructible yearning for unity.
