This composition is both new and not so… I wished that the music of the past years would not be ‘forgotten’. So I reworked it as a pavane which reflects my fascination with the most beautiful examples of the 20th century music. But my Pavane still seemed to lack some kind of context. Then Bolero turned up, even though it happened to remind of this dance more in the emotional than in any ‘choreographic’ sense...
