Programme note

This piece was created by manipulating piano reduction of the overture from Richard Wagner's early opera Das Liebesverbot (1834). It was created manually with a pair of scissors, cutting into a xeroxed copy of Wagner's score (hence a faint connection with American artist Joseph Cornell).
