Teamed up by its present artistic director Raimundas Arnašius, DixXband is actively performing in Lithuania and abroad already for six years. The band mostly performs the music of New Orleans and jazz standards.
DixXband is one of the most popular and professional Dixieland bands in Lithuania. Having given over 500 concerts so far, the band performs in music clubs, jazz festivals, urban festivities, corporate events. In 2007 the band won the Grand Prix and the audience prize at the Euro Jazz festival competition in Rueil-Malmaison, France.
Besides traditional Dixieland repertoire, DixXband also performs blues, jazz rock, Latin music and rock'n'roll. All members of DixXband are professional musicians, performing in other groups and teaching.
