Having established themselves as solo artists, Linas Adomaitis and Simona Jakubėnaitė gained fame as a duo in 2004, when their song What’s Happened To Your Love was chosen to represent Lithuania in Eurovision Song Contest. Arguably Lithuania’s most popular mellow r’n’b and soul act, Linas & Simona had a string of hits since then and enjoyed success of their first album as a duo, I Love U (2005). Blending jazz and hip hop into the formula, they have plenty of fans in all age categories and always receive a warm welcome – whether in a dance club or a jazz festival.
Linas & Simona, who name Stevie Wonder as their biggest inspiration, are also quite possibly best-connected Lithuanian act when it comes to international events – the duo has successfully performed and won awards in music festivals of Cyprus, Malta, Romania, Belarus and many other countries. Their recent projects feature interesting interpretations of Stevie Wonder’s and The Beatles’ songs – these adventurous shows gained positive feedback from both the fans and the critics.
