More than 10 years in the business, Sel is a ‘one man band’ of singer and producer Egidijus Dragūnas. Having pioneered Lithuanian hiphop in the early 90's, Sel went on to experiment with stylish pop on one of Lithuanian all-time bestsellers Guma (1997), becoming undisputed pop trend-setter. Never the one to hide his opinion, Egidijus has been labelled a “bad boy” in pop music - however, this image did nothing but increase his popularity. Turning away from their successful pop formula, Sel released a couple of The Chemical Brothers like records in the late 90's and slowed down their career a bit. However, year 2006 saw their impressive return with a DVD documentary Kelias į dangų and a new r'n'b flavoured album Muzika. Sel have played gigs in the U.S. and Great Britain, filmed several videos abroad and still remain one of the biggest Lithuanian audience draws – whether playing a live gig or a DJ set. Always collaborating with the freshest new talents in music production field, Dragūnas remains a ‘godfather’ of Lithuanian quality dance and pop.
