InCulto was formed in the spring of 2003 when Jurgis Didžiulis and Aurelijus Morlencas decided to form a new band after leaving 'Latin Power'. Both kinda had an idea of what they wanted to do musically but mainly concurred that the new project should feed their bodies and bank accounts as well as their souls.
Although InCulto 'tragically' premiered in late spring, of that year, it only came into proper form towards the end of 2004. InCulto spent 2003 and 2004 playing private parties all over Lithuania. During this period, InCulto brought more joy to private parties than any other band in Lithuania and acquired invaluable experience by playing 'impossible gigs' and salvaging 'nightmare events'. InCulto continuously rocked the most unlikely events and were coined 'the private party solution'.
At the same time InCulto began developing a double persona by establishing itself as a conceptual dance club act capable of making the more trendy youngsters' party. Although they were known as an effective electronic / latin / rock act in the private party circuit, club-wise they gained reputation for being rockin' and bizarre.
InCulto surfaced onto the Lithuanian pop scene in the summer of 2004 with the release of 'Jei labai nori' (a cover of a latin classic 'la Mucura'). However, they still were accepted as an alternative act because of their:
1) size - 7 musicians
2) obstinate insistence of only playing live
3) colorfulness on stage
4) exotic sound
Faced with the prospect of Lithuanian pop stardom InCulto decided to release something that would hit. In December 2004 'Suk suk rateli', a dancefloorfunk version of Lithuanian folk song with a spanish rap, made the airwaves and served its purpose.
2005 was a good year for InCulto with the release of their third radio single 'Boogaloo' and their debut album 'Post-Sov-Pop'. They received 'Radiocentras' and 'Bravo' awards for 'Best Debut' and had the opportunity of touring the country far and wide as a recognized pop act. They have taken part in countless national festivals and TV events.

Our music:
is naturally eclectic. We make stimulating dance music through reckless cultural fusion. We actively experiment with orthodox and unorthodox mixture of styles under 2 guidelines: (1) it has to stimulate us (it has to move us) (2) it has to stimulate our audience (it has to move the people on the dance floor).
InCulto recipe:
- Think up a cool idea. (Music without content is like beer without alcohol)
- Hunt for cool samples, put together a dance-floor compatible beat
- Funk it up with bass, rock it up with guitar and drums
- Harmonize it all with a grade A brass section
- Mix carefully to suit the occasion
- Add a pinch of charisma, a fistful of soul, and a ton of energy
- Serve hot!
